About our Luxury Faux Fur: There is a variety of types on faux fur. Please see below for descriptions and then browse our photos to see them. Remember, sometimes it is difficult to show texture and length in a photo. Before ordering your garment, you should order a few swatches of material (variety in the color you wish) to make your final determination. Low quality faux furs such as inexpensive shags and costume furs are not used in making our jackets. We only use luxury faux furs which are known for their luster, their quality, their realism, or their softness. We do sell our faux furs by the yard to designers, individuals, and retailers if you are interested please contact us for pricing.
Beaver:
This fabric has a very velvety soft feel. It is a short pile fur with a pile height of 1/2", Fabric Content: 100% Acrylic Facing, 100% Polyester Backing, Non Stretch. Washing Instructions: Machine Wash Cold/Hang Dry or Dry Clean Recommended.
Shag: This fabric has a very long length and has a "cotton" feel to the fur. It is less realistic, but works great if you want something that really looks rustically animal-like. Good for furry characters, cuffs, and collars, or when you want your wrap or jacket to have long shaggy fur.
Crushed Rabbit: More of a shaggy fur medium length with about a 3/4" pile. The rabbit part describes more of the feel of the fur. It has a very silky touch which is soft but longer than Cuddle or Beaver. It typically has an un-even cut to the fur making it look like a layered look. Fabric Content: 100% Acrylic Facing, 100% Polyester Backing, Non Stretch. Washing Instructions: Machine Wash Cold/Hang Dry or Dry Clean Recommended.
Teddy Bear: The teddy bear fur has beautiful shine and feel to it. It is the closest to a realistic look with long fur which is extremely pettable and soft. It looks like real "hair" fur but is very fine and lays flat. It has a Pile Height 1 1/16". Fabric content is 50% Acrylic and 50% modacrylic. Because of its realistic appearance of a luxury fur, it is the highest priced fur we offer. The top choice for customers wanting a long fur for shrugs or jackets.
Minky: This fur has a 1" pile and although it has the least bit of realism, you can't resist to pet it's soft and thick coat. Pelted to look like mink. Luxury fur. Minky has a "hair" look but is a pelted fur (sewn in stripes like mink).
Animal Prints: Animal prints are typically 1/2" pile and are the shortest fur.
Cuddle Prints: A very thin "blanket" style fur mostly used in baby products, dog products, and for decoration of throw pillows and such. The fur is very soft and snuggly and is not as rigid as other furs which are more thick. Cuddle prints are Polka Dots and Stripes and other such prints.
